The Edmund Kennedy Monument:
Monument located adjacent to Emu Creek, a tributary of the Walsh River.
Plaque Inscription:
A tribute to the Kennedy Expedition of 1848 and the blazing of camp KXXXIII on August 29.
Erected by the Eacham Historical Society in 2004.
Other Information
This monument commemorates the ill-fated 1848 expedition.
