Northcote Biboohra, July 20
The Mareeba Express newspaper was published this morning, and marks a new era for Mareeba.
The goldfield presents a business aspect, and has a population of 200. Several teams are carting wood, water and stores to the residents, and wash dirt from the alluvial claims to Tinaroo Creek.
The battery, from Northcote, arrived at Biboohra yesterday on the way to the goldfield.
